VIZIANAGARAM:Lok Sabha member Botcha Jhansi Lakshmi laid the foundation stone for railway over bridge, which is estimated to cost Rs. 36 crore between Korukonda and Alamanda Railway stations and inaugurated the Rs. 3.50 crore protected water supply scheme at Bhimasingi in Jami mandal on Sunday.Later, addressing gathering, she said that the ROB when completed in the next two years would ease flow of traffic on Vizianagaram-Kothavalasa Road. On the PWS scheme, she said that it was one among the pilot projects planned in each mandal to mitigate drinking water problem in mid-summer. Some nine villages, including Bhimasingi, would receive water.She appealed to railway officials to clear hurdles in Gajapthinagaram constituency for supply of drinking water to five villages. Gajapathinagaram MLA Botcha Appala Narasaiah said that a sum of Rs. 500 crore was being spent to improve drinking water supply position in the district.
