GANDHINAGAR: In an annual meeting with MPs from the state, chief minister NarendraModi asked them to forcefully take up Gujarat's pending issues with the centre in the forthcoming budget session of parliament.The Congress party was represented at the meeting only by Rajkot MP Kuvarji Bavaliya. Senior BJP leader LK Advani and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitely were absent from the meeting.Modi also urged the MPs to get fund for central initiatives like Right to Education and Right to Food Act. A total of 109 Gujarat related issues are pending with the centre. Modi called for making a provision in the next central budget for six high-speed rail projects including Ahmedabad-Mumbai project.Bavaliya said that instead of politicizing the issues of state's development, the government should take up these issues in a positive manner. He said that the state is government is trying to blame the centre for everything while not informing people about its own failures in using central funds. | ||
