riteshexpert | Puttur-Nagari sector: GMK Naidu leads delegation to Chennai on 12 February, 2013 - 09:00 AM
Southern Railway authorities have reportedly given a firm commitment to the Puttur MLA and veteran TDP leader G. Muddukrishnama Naidu to sort out all the pending problems of the railway stations that come under the purview of his tail-end constituency located close to Tamil Nadu.Naidu could secure assurances from the Divisional Railway Manager of the Southern Railways, K.P. Mishra, Chennai, to whom he led a delegation of the party workers from the constituency for discussing a range of issues that were reportedly unresolved for a long time in the Puttur-Nagari sector. Some of the important problems taken up at the meeting and assurances secured from the DRM were the modernisation of the platforms, providing benches, proper lighting, shelter and drinking water facilities at Ekambarakuppam, Tadukupeta and Nagari, and providing reservation quota and an additional vent at the road under-bridge at the Ekambarakuppam level crossing.Responding to Naidu’s representation to the DRM that the construction of the circle-road at the over-bridge in Puttur town was being held due to certain objections reportedly raised by the railways, the official promised to sort out the problem and give clearance soon. Among other members present were Ponnuswamy, Dayalan, Kumar, Nagaraj and others.
