Southern Railway women’s team defeated Mayor’s Club, Hyderabad 3-1 in a league round match of the National Club Volleyball championship. Southern Railway after winning the first two sets which was keenly contested lost the third one to Mayor’s Club due to fatigue. Southern Railway then pulled up their socks in the fourth set and outsmarted the Hyderabad side.

Results: Women: Southern Railway, Chennai bt Mayor’s Club, Hyderabad (3-1) 25-20, 25-16, 22-25, 25-13; Men: ONGC bt HSIIDC (3-1) 23-25, 25-12, 25-16, 25-18.
