बिलासपुर।  भारतीय रेल ने ट्रेनों के किराए में 7 अक्टूबर यानी सोमवार से बढ़ोतरी के निर्देश दिए हैं। इससे जनरल स्लीपर और एसी थ्री टायर के यात्रियों पर 5 से 10 रुपए तो एसी फस्र्ट और सेकेंड क्लास के यात्रियों पर इससे भी ज्यादा भार पड़ेगा। यह किराया सीजन के हिसाब से तय होगा। बिलासपुर से दिल्ली जाना हो तो 50 रुपए तक अधिक देने होंगे।

भारतीय रेल ने किराए में बढोतरी के लिए फ्यूल एडजस्टमेंट कंपोनेंट को कारण बताया है, लेकिन यह तय नहीं किया गया कि किराए में वृद्धि प्रति किलोमीटर किस हिसाब से होगी। मंत्रालय से जारी टेबल में दूरी के आधार पर बढ़ोतरी दर्शाई गई है। उच्च श्रेणी के यात्रियों से सामान्य और पीक सीजन के आधार पर किराया लिया जाएगा। इसके अलावा पापुलर ट्रेनों पर इस श्रेणी का किराया हमेशा पीक सीजन का रहेगा।

फेयर चार्ट की समीक्षा से पता चलता है कि भारतीय रेल ने अपने हाईक्लास पैसेंजर पर खासा भार डाल दिया है। इस श्रेणी के यात्रियों को बिलासपुर से दिल्ली तक के सफर के लिए 50 रुपए तक अधिक देना होगा। जनरल और स्लीपर क्लास में 5 से 10 रुपए की बढोतरी देखी गई है। जनरल क्लास के यात्रियों को इसलिए भी भार का अहसास नहीं होगा क्योंकि किराया राउंड फिगर में लिया जा रहा है।

हाईक्लास यात्रियों पर पड़ेगा 50 रुपए तक का अतिरिक्त भार

किराए में वृद्धि को ऐसे समझें

- स्लीपर क्लास में सफर पर कम से कम 200 किमी का किराया तय है। वर्तमान में इतनी दूरी के लिए 115 रुपए तय है। इसे बढ़ाकर 118 रुपए किया गया है। किराया राउंड फिगर में लिया जाएगा, यानी यह राशि 120 रुपए होगी। साफ है कि किराए में 5 रुपए की बढ़ोतरी हुई।

- संपर्क क्रांति एक्सप्रेस में बिलासपुर से दिल्ली तक के सफर के लिए एसी सेकंड क्लास में अभी 1565 रुपए (बेसिक) किराया देना पड़ रहा है। यही किराया पीक सीजन में 1594 और लीन (सामान्य) सीजन में 1544 रुपए होगा। इसी तरह फस्र्ट क्लास के यात्री को पीक सीजन में 2747 रुपए तो सामान्य सीजन में 2600 रुपए देने होंगे।

दूरी के हिसाब से किराया

- स्लीपर: इस श्रेणी के लिए वर्तमान में 408 रुपए (बेसिक) किराया तय है। नई दरें लागू होने पर यह किराया 416 रुपए होगा, यानी यात्रियों को 415 रुपए ही देने होंगे। स्पष्ट है कि राउंड फिगर में 410 रुपए किराया देने वालों को 5 रुपए अधिक देने होंगे।

- एसी थ्री: इस श्रेणी के यात्रियों को 1070 रुपए देना पड़ रहा है जो बढ़कर 1090 रुपए होगा। यानी हर यात्री पर 20 रुपए का भार पड़ेगा।

- एसी टू: इस श्रेणी में यात्रा के लिए 1565 रुपए देना पड़ रहा है, जो पीक सीजन में 1594 रुपए देने होंगे। यात्रियों को 30 रुपए अतिरिक्त देने होंगे।

- एसी फस्र्ट: इस श्रेणी में यात्रा के लिए 2697 रुपए देने पड़ रहे हैं। यही किराया बढ़कर 2747 रुपए हो जाएगा। यात्रियों को राउंड फिगर में 50 रुपए अतिरिक्त देने होंगे।

VIJAYAWADA: United Andhra Pradesh supporters on Saturday went on a rampage and blocked roads, burnt vehicles, attacked properties of Congress leaders besides disrupting train and power services to protest the Centre move to go ahead with Telangana formation despite their two-month agitation.Thousands of vehicles were stranded on highways as protesters blocked them by burning tyres on the second day of the blockade of roads.Three vehicles were burnt in temple town of Tirupati, where the annual Brahmotsavams began on Saturday. The agitation had its impact on the Dasara festivities at Vijayawada's famous Sri Kanakadurga temple.Train services were disrupted at many places resulting in delay of trains by up to four hours. Several trains were stopped at Kondayapalem railway gate on Nellore outskirts as agitators protested for about two hours.

Superfast trains, including Janashatabdi Express, were stopped forcing other trains on the section to stop at different stations.

Sources said many trains on Chennai-Kolkata and Chennai-Hyderabad line were running behind schedule as they were stopped at Ongole, Chirala, Tenali, and Vijayawada.

Legislator K Gurunatha Reddy led protesters, who stopped trains on the Chennai-Bangalore section at Anantapur. The protesters burnt tyres on the track to stop trains besides blocking the station manager's chamber.

The New Delhi-Bangalore superfast express was among the trains stopped at Anantapur station for about two hours. Police did not use force on the directions of chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and DGP Prasada Rao.

In Prakasam, agitators burnt rubber bags and tyres on railway tracks near Chirala to spot trains on Chennai-Howrah and Chennai-Delhi sections.

In Vizianagaram, protesters clashed with police as they attacked properties of Andhra Pradesh Congress chief Botsa Satyanarayana and other Congress leaders besides stoning the district collector's office.

A Congress MP Harsha Kumar-run college in Rajahmundry was ransacked and its furniture and buses were damaged. Kumar's sons and their security guard clashed with the protestors as police could not control the situation. They were later arrested and booked.

A 35-year-old man suffered 75% burns as he set himself on fire to protest Telangana formation in Prakasam district.

The striking APGenco employees closed power plants hitting generation of 3,000 mw, which plunged over 300 villages in six coastal districts into darkness on Friday night.

They even tried to snap power supply to the railways to pressurize the Centre. Senior officials are closely monitoring the situation and trying to keep railway supply lines intact till the strike ends on Sunday morning.

Elsewhere in Seemandhra, a total bandh was observed for the second day as all commercial activities were halted.

The railway board has declared an increase in passenger fares in all mail and express trains by 2 per cent and freight tariff by 1.7 per cent. While the revised passenger fare will come into effect from October 7, the increased freight charge will be applicable from October 10.While travelling in chair car between Pune and Mumbai will cost passengers Rs 8 more, for a second-class journey, the fare has increased by Re 1.The II AC journey between Pune and Delhi will be dearer by Rs 40 and III AC journey will cost Rs 27 more. Passengers travelling in sleeper class will have to shell out Rs 6 more.This is the second increase in passenger fares this year after a 20 per cent hike in January.Harsha Shah of Railway Pravasi Group said that due to the increased expenses, the Indian Railway needs additional revenue and such hikes can be condoned if it comes with improved facilities for the passengers who will have to shell out more money."This is the third fare hike within a very short time and passengers will obviously feel burdened. However, if this hike means that the Pune Division will get additional infrastructure and facilities, then passengers will find not mind it. It is not done if they earn more money from this region and use it for conducting development work at other places," said Shah.
