In order to enhance security measures Indian railway will install electric fence to cover railway tracks.

NCR GM Arun Saxena told that often CRPF personnel detect missing bolts and slippers deliberately kept across the railway tracks by miscreants. In extreme cases, railway tracks are pulled apart inviting serious consequences.

In addition, railway is looking forward to use certain instruments used by Indian Army to trace anyone going close to fence near LOC. Once finalized, railways can also detect if anyone goes toward tracks in the night instantly. Such miscreants usually go unnoticed due to darkness. If detected on time they can be chased down easily by CRPF personnel.

  Indian Railways News  / भागलपुर-दुमका को मिली एक नई पैसेंजर ट्रेन

दुमका को झारखण्ड की उपराजधानी जाना जाता है परंतु अभी तक ये रेल मार्ग से सीधे अंग प्रदेश भागलपुर से  नहीं जुडी थी, परंतु पूर्व रेलवे के मालदा संभाग ने 28 सितम्बर से इसे पैसेंजर रेल के माध्यम से जोड़ने के लिए हरी झंडी दे दी है|

दुमका-भागलपुर पैसेंजर 28 सितम्बर से भागलपुर से चलकर हंसडीहा के रास्ते दुमका पहुंचेगी| इस नई पैसेंजर ट्रेन के उदघाटन के लिए हंसडीहा में मंच भी बनाया जा रहा है|

दुमका से चलकर भागलपुर जाने वाली अप ट्रेन का नंबर 53441 है जबकि भागलपुर से दुमका जाने वाली डाउन ट्रेन का नंबर है 53442| इसके अलावा रेलवे ने भागलपुर-हंसडीहा पैसेंजर के समय में भी बदलाव किया है|

Indian Railway has approved 78-days bonus for all railway employees. This will count to Rs 18,000 per employee and will be given before festive season of Diwali.Productivity-linked bonus is a yearly practice by railway to benefit its employees. Despite financial crunch and shortfall of nearly 10,000 crore rupees in earnings railway has decided to give 78-days bonus which is same as last four years.The shortfall in railway earnings has occurred due to drop in number of passengers on short journey trains and slowdown in loading. The cabinet will approve the proposal about yearly bonus next week.

डी आर ऍम आगरा के अंदर आने वाले सभी स्टेशनों में से मथुरा जंक्शन सबसे महत्वपूर्ण स्टेशन है जहाँ से सबसे ज्यादा यात्री आते और जाते हैं| हाल ही में इसे एकीकृत सुरक्षा प्रणाली से लैस किया गया था और अब वाई-फाई की सुविधा भी जल्द ही प्रदान कर दी जाएगी|

मथुरा जंक्शन देश के उन 75 स्टेशनों में से है जिसके लिए ख़ास तौर पर स्टेशन निदेशक नियुक्त किये जाएंगे| इस वर्ष अंत तक मथुरा को स्टेशन निदेशक मिल जाएगा| अभी देश में कुल 12 स्टेशन ही हैं जहाँ स्टेशन निदेशक नियुक्त हैं|

स्वच्छ रेल स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के दौरान साफ़ सफाई के साथ लोगों को जागरूक बनाने का भी कार्य किया गया और स्टेशन के उन्नयन का कार्य भी किया जा रहा है|

  Indian Railways News  / India-Bangladesh might restore pre-1965 rail link

Railway connectivity between India and Bangladesh was disrupted during India-Pakistan war in 1965 after which until date no appropriate measure was taken to restore the link. In 2016, Bangladesh is working on priority basis to restore the disrupted link.

Amir Hossain Amu, Bangladesh’s Industry Minister said in a “North East Connectivity Summit” at Agartala that government of the day would like to bring substantive changes in connectivity with India.

Bangladesh is also monitoring commercial viability between Guwahati, Dhaka, Agartala and Shillong to bring direct air connectivity.

He also said that in last seven years we have seen tremendous growth in India and Bangladesh in almost every area. India-Bangladesh trade ties are also touching new heights and situated in northeast of India, we are natural business partners.

Joint secretary of Indian External affair Ministry Mr. Satpathy also confirmed that several connectivity related projects are underway to connect north-east with south-east Asian countries.
